    I have been buying the hyway brand DP complete mufflers online for replacements of smashed units without the screen. 044 046 and they are holding up great so far with the firewood cutters.

    So if I more or less follow that pattern, the auto tune won't require further tweaking and it will have a performance boost? Sign me up. :D:handshake:

    You can do several small holes, enlarge the current oulet, or just make a large outlet in that same deflector.

    The Autotune will compensate for it.

    The M-Tronic should be able to compensate for whatever you do. On mine, the screen was removed, existing outlet enlarged and a second (dual-port baby, woooo! :dex::p) hole drilled just underneath. It's real clean looking. I'll snap a pic later.

    The deflector is the angled piece of steel that surrounds the exhaust port. It makes the exhaust shoot out in front of the saw, rather than sideways.

    This was my 441..
