It pretty much a laptop power supply. 120 to 12 volt converter. I can get them for free at work.

Good morning, 37, very foggy and rain is coming..
Yesterday I worked up a black locust I had "ringed/girdled" a couple years ago, most all of the thorns and bark had fallen off or ready to fall off, didn't get poked one time.
I have about 20 more of 'em I ringed last year but they didn't seem quite ready to go,,,pretty neat trick,
Any of you guys ever tried that on a black locust?

The place where I cut has hundreds of black locust and hedge trees that were girdled/ringed 20 years ago. Makes some good firewood.

Man-o-man, I can imagine it would be fantastic firewood!!,,ringed all those years ago. I noticed yesterday that the lower trunk was not ready to burn, still wet and heavy,,,I wish I had ringed all of' em the several years ago when I was 1st told about it. I only did a few of them to see if it really worked or not,,it did, so last year we ringed about 20 of them. The land owner told me to "ring 'em all"!! ,,and will!!

It's Friday. Having our Christmas party with my wife and her brothers and sisters and their spouses. Gonna be a lot of smoked babybacks and beer. What's not to like about that?

    Evil thorns = honey locust.
Thick bark, some small thorns on branches = black locust.

 I spent too much time last night ordering custom gift cards for Christmas gift. Uploaded pictures, added many addresses etc. The very last screen said my order was too large and poof, all that work disappeared. :zip:

Still knocking on wood, lil one seems healthy :) This flu took us both out for days and its a bad one.... I know its a mutated strain that the shot doesn't work on but I can't help but wonder, we had shots and the lil one had the nasal vaccine. What kind do your kids get?
