    Looks like they are calling off the snow but now are calling the cold snap dangerous. What jerks. People have lived through this sort of thing since time began, why do they feel they have to blow it all out of proportion? Well, it is going to get colder as we go towards December. We will see some snow. The wind will blow and it will be cold. It will also cause some lake effect snow. So what is the big deal?

    As for being prepared, we do plan a trip and it is November so our car is set up as it will be until late March; extra clothing, a couple blankets, a bucket of sand, snow brush, ice scraper, etc. It is called being prepared.

    I think and hope that the weekend will be good as far as the weather is concerned. Im really looking forward to meeting everybody and seeing all the new stoves. Also in case yall didnt know you can go and vote for the stove of your choice.

    Im all packed and ready to go well be stopping in Richmond tomorrow morning to visit my sister in law and then headed up to Alexandria Saturday morning well be on the metro headed into the city going to the National Museum of Art and then to the Contest. Im looking forward to meeting everybody. Im not sure how long were going to stay there but Im aiming to get to the contest around 2 and stay until the wife drags me away.

    I agree, I doubt there is anything objective about it. The data isn't even there to help understand the "innovation" each entry is featuring.

    I voted for Helbro. I love his work. He doesn't just build stoves, they are pieces of art. Yes, that is my subjective opinion and I wouldn't change my vote.
