750 yr old oak declared as national monument in Poland falls victim to arson. I admit that trees have fallen to my hand but to deface a national and natural monument what kind of equine posterior are you. They are unsure if the tree will survive and are cutting branches to save genetic material samples. Only spring will tell if it survives. Fire fighters spent 30 hours fighting the fire.

Pretty pathetic human being that would do that in my opinion, I don't care what age they were, what drugs they were on or who they were trying to impress. I would be shocked if that tree survives that. I take that is was having some issues and was hollowing out?

One thing I will say is that when I was a kid a neighbor had a BIG barn burn to the ground and he was there when it started. He saw the smoke and it was coming from the top of the barn on the opposite side of the sun. Nothing he could do but watch bit go as it was so high up. No electric in the barn and what caused it was a bird carrying someones tossed lit cigarette leftover into it's nest.

Terrible crime and terrible people who caused it. Sad to say, some of the terrorists have stooped to doing this sort of thing. Destroy some of the national monuments or other things and it hurts. We have a word for those times and I won't print is except to say it begins with a b.

There is a certain city state side that seems to suffer from the same problem even with its flexible population.
