Nice....love the Brembo's. Too bad about the car, though, but cars can be repaired/replaced.

I've been having back problems and my Doc gave me an anti-inflamatory and a 'muscle relaxer'… that 'relaxer' turned out to be generic Valium. It had me so screwed up a few weeks ago I voted for imacman for Governor then I realized my mistake and I went to the ER…

While in N'awlins last spring the wife and I had lunch at The Bourbon House on Bourbon St. I wasn't much interested in trying their bourbon 'flights' since i figured I'd be to drunk to walk after all that… but they have about 150 bourbons in stock… some shots are $400.00!

I don't see that as valid excuse. All drivers should keep a safe distance regardless of what they drive. Sorry you were rearended by that idiot.

I was into a similar accident but between two rigs. My Landcruiser was a squashed popcan and I cracked a couple of ribs. The driver was charged with following too closely and won his case in court(time versus accident). Should of been charged with wreckless driving. Speedy recovery and lots of fluids(beer & bourbon):drunk:

Glad you're OK Brian. I had a similar incident several years back.

If there is one good thing to say about Michigan's no fault insurance laws, it's that there is very little hassle after an accident, especially if you weren't at fault. If you are at fault, you pay your deductible and your car gets fixed, assuming you have collision coverage. If you weren't at fault, you don't have to pay anything (at least with my insurance company, USAA).

Lucky for me, every wreck I've been in so far has been someone else's fault. I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

    Best vote you ever cast.

Oh, and about the bourbon shots......what seems to be the problem? Or are you actually a "real cheap date" and figured you'd end up like this after only one (cheap) shot?:faint:

Not cheap… I needed gas money to go home. The credit card I applied for in your name was declined at Popeye's Fried Chicken!

yup, dazepam or something like that right? i had that too... it supposedly counter acts the tramadol in some way or another. (one causes stroke potential, the other counter acts it, both knock you on your azz).

never again. take a couple motrin and man the F up.

Glad to hear you are ok! Getting the car wrecked sucks, but at least it sounds like you'll be good as new with some recovery time

Years ago I was in a similar accident, except my Accord was sandwiched between a box truck and a Camry. Difference in my story was the Camry and I had both stopped and he got slammed by a Geo Tracker and pushed into me. Felt bad for the Camry driver as he got hit hard. Hard enough to total both of our cars

Hmmm, maybe it was you. I had fraudulent charges on my CC once, they bought Popeyes and NYC subway tickets.

Hello briansol glad you found us! I just found this place not to long ago myself.

Glad your ok. I was rear ended once in full stop by a Honda civic. My vehicle at the time was a 67 Chevy Impala station wagon (aka Tank). It wasn't pretty for the Honda. His front end was up in the air (what as left of it) sitting on the motor. The wagon has a shiny spot on the rear bumper (I am not kidding). They don't make 'em like they used too.

actually, that's a good thing. I know people think size is everything, but it's not. There's a vid of a bel air against a modern car on youtube in an off-set head on, and let's just say the modern car faired significantly better. yt is blocked at work, but i'll find the vid later if no one else does first and post it up

I saw that one too. The Bel Air took it hard. Brought tears to my eyes. A '61 was my first car.

I find the video hard to believe. Drove older cars in my youth. One of which was a 74 Monte Carlo with which I hit many things - it always bounced off trees and such.
One time a telephone pole got in my way going about 30mph on a wet road (bad tires). The car bounced somewhat violently back into the road with nothing but a small ding in the bumper.
