MIS, Isn't it funny how weird it is to most folks, and how basic it is to us? I can stand and look at my stacks and my full wood shed and just feel so fulfilled. It is something that you can't explain to the non wood burning population. I have had the need for that feeling for over 40 years, and never take it for granted. I know that me and my family will be warm in the winter, no matter what. Not a small thing for me.

I agree. When my friends come over someone always says do u have enough wood and when I say no they start laughing . I then ask them how much did u pay for oil last year $4,500 and that's when I start laughing . When they walk into my house in the winter they say oh wow this feels good..

That's one of me favorite sheds chief!! Love it.

I just got done building a firewood rack/entry deck/ steps in the garage tonight. It'll make getting wood into the house much easier. I'll do a post later.....

Might be a dumb question. Anyhow here you go. Do you season the wood in stacks outside first? How long?

Jason, Yes, I season my wood in stacks outside, top covered. That wood in my wood shed is 3 years old, some 4.

It's like looking at a pantry full of (your) canned food, just as you pass by your 2 chest freezers that are full!
    Priceless!

Very nice Chief and yes unless you share this passion you can't understand how good of a feeling it gives to have a good stash and I'm sure even better with an enclosed shed like that.
I built a nice roof over my stack on the patio and man is it working out much better than them darn tarps.

Works real nice but I'll have to get another set of hands when I unbolt that roof off the racks in the spring. It is so much nicer than this set up.
