    I have a 550 but if I was buying new it would be a 545 or 2252.

    545 for $500, $100 less
get an extra chain & some oil thrown in.
    If you have $600 to spend;
    spend a $100 on a few new chainsaw accessories , chaps , helmet ..>>

    545.jpg

At the top, I cut 15 cord per year. Treated well, both will last 20+ years
Comparing the features, pretty even IMO.
At 10.8 lbs. . nice size & power for the above average wood cutter.
The 545 is on the top of my "Saw dream list " :)

Agreed ! The power difference is so slight in my eyes. The 545 just makes more sense :). Very good firewood saw !
Ps... Hope you get your 545 soon !

Just getting used to the features of the 359.
I'm using the de-comp more & more for easy starting on cold days.
Be hard to justify a new saw when mine is only 4 years old & working great.
But I struggle hard with CAD, so who knows :)

The 359 is a great saw indeed.
But the 545 is balanced way different... And for me.... Is more of a pleasure ! I bet there would be interest in your 359 on here if you wanted to sell it :)
Im gonna get u in trouble if i dont shut up lol !

All Orange is sooo much better.

I have a nice orange clutch cover for a 545 if someone wants one to spruce up their 550xp.

550 will win the pizz revving competition. But side by side? A stop watch will be needed in the cut.

    I say 545...
Plus, the $100+ in savings is not bad either.

Who cares if the 545 is $100 cheaper?! Or that it's almost as fast as a 550?! This contest is about beauty, not brains! Which one do you think looks the best sitting on the tailgate of your truck! :rootintootin:

Im sure for many of you, the answer is the same.
