That just ain't right. After reading this plus the locked thread and all the crap on AS about bad deals... It's downright scary dealing with folks. I have always made out well, but don't buy/sell nearly as often as the more severe cases of CAD. I did almost get burnt once, but pulled the saw in transit so it cost me the $30 in shipping only.

    Sorry dude.

I do repeat business with the same guys who care about friendship more than the almighty dollar. When a deal is done more is at stake than money and item.... friendship is on the line. My Papaw once told me "It takes a lifetime to build a good name and only a second to destroy it."

Yep.. Keep a list, or Bookmark who you have done business with.

I would much rather have a good reputation, than make a buck on someone.

    Amen Steven..

alot of times when I get in a buying mood... it's more about "who" is selling, than "what" they are selling.

Yeah pretty much. I do have a picture of a cylinder for one as my avatar now.

I do know of a heated 3/4 wrap for a 44/46. Just need the rest of the parts to add it on. I would really like to find a heated full wrap 2171 if they ever made one.

and sometimes you are better off spending that extra $50 if you can trust the guy selling the saw and know they will stand behind it!

Ray, I never dreamed I would be the guy saying this but with the little bit of saw buying/selling I have done in the past 2 years I would say you are much better off to buy a used pro saw for about the same money as a new homeowner saw. I bought my 357XP for less than that and after running a 455 Rancher would guess the 357XP blows the socks off of a 460. There are a lot of well respected guys on this forum that I wouldn't hesitate to buy a saw off of and at this time I would rather have an older pro saw than a newer homeowner saw. This is totally my 2 cents worth and other mileage will vary lol.

I have been running a Stihl 023 for about 20 years so I am thinking pretty much anything would blow it out of the water.. Back when I bought it they were pretty expensive as I paid $300.00 for it.. Just wondering why a 460 rancher wouldn't be adequate but I'm sure the pro saws have some advantages.

There's a pretty sweet deal on a 261 in the classifieds.

It probably would be but I don't even know that you need a 60cc saw. How big of stuff are you cutting? I probably cut a lot more than you do every year so my perspective is probably jaded. I am already up to about 10 cords this year and have another 8-10 to go at least?
