My racing days was Castor 927 (nothing smells better :dex:)

I have some Amsoil Dominator left, but have a few liters of H1R.

I don't think I've ever smelled my 2 stroke oil. Am I missing out?

The belray makes my noise run and stihl ultra gives me a headache. K2 is leaving a good film even better than motul 800 on the same tune.

Now I want someone to produce a Scratch 'n' Sniff card so I can sample these oil smells without buying them all.

I could do belray, motul, maxima k2, 927, and maybe klotz. They smell a bit different when burnt then they do in the jug.

In the springtime I bought a broken weed whacker that came with one of those big Sam's Club-sized pretzel jugs full of little orange bottles of Stihl oil. Today I'm planning to buy a couple of other saws, and they're to come with several 6-packs of the Stihl silver bottle. I may never get to try the fancy stuff.

I'll be out of the Jonsered oil I bought at TS a while ago on the next mix - just received 12oz of Belray H1R to give that a try - but might not be for a while - getting close to done cutting for the season and one more gallon or so of mix should do it. I've been mixing at 45:1 - any reason to change this when I go to the Belray? I'm seeing 40:1 and 32:1, but 45:1 has been working well in all my saws. Cheers!

I haven't seen it mentioned yet so I guess it's not the most popular kid on the block.
I've been using Optimal (Opt2) for nearly 20 years. Never had a problem except the one time one of my ex-employees dropped a 200T into a creek and then tried starting it right away instead of drying it out and cleaning it first. Can't blame that on the oil though. I use it in all my 2 cycle gear.

$9 quart for it. It coats the inside good on Matt's 7900 when I took it apart.
