My father in law is a Vietnam vet, so takin a load of wood up to his house today. He burns in an open fireplace, loves the fire and adds a little heat to his living room where he watches TV. Got a cord of maple in there, that new truck pulled that like a boss. Up the hill and didn't run above 1500 RPMs, man my old F150 would have moanin and groanin to try to make that hill with a smaller load.

Well got him all set up, stacked it and ready to burn. He had bought a (cord) of wood from a local guy. Got charged $140 and it was a face cord of half punky cherry. Man that's a ripoff. Told him from now on just call me and I'll bring all you can burn

First, thanks to your father in-law for his service.
Second, it's great you take care of family like that.
Third, sweet truck. Did I miss a post about you getting a new truck? I am going to do a search.

It was a great day, got him all set for winter, went and got dinner and had a few beers. He had a great time playing with his grandkids as we unloaded and stacked everything for him. He said it was the best veterans day he has had.

Another good son deed. I am sure your father in-law is thankful. And I bet your wife is happy with you for doing that good deed..
