Still should be a nice saw. I think the 42 piston was slab sided and was longer so there was less intake duration but more base compression. What compression are you shooting for. Small bore should be able to handle some high comp
A regular 242 was closed port too like a 272 style. That is a 42 special jug with an aftermarket 242 piston
That makes sense, I was scratching my head trying to find out what was going on..I didn't know they made a 42 special....
I just need someone to figure out what it is (other than a 15.6K saw) so I can list it. I want to wash my hands of the whole deal. Until I know what it is.... I dont know what to say in my listing.
It seems to be a good runner. I'll recheck compression after some run time......but it was blowing about 200 psi
I do have a 362cmr in route.... and am with another guy to part with a certain "other saw" (wont reveal) until we have the deal worked out.
You ain't getting my 064... So don't even think about it... It ain't pretty enough for the collection anyway...
Glad to see you made it onto FHC! It was good meeting you down there, and yes that 064 was pretty sweeeeeet!
Not much fellas it's good to be here! Less drama than AnotherSite and most of my favorite turds are here.
