After back and forth calls wit HD, I am pleased to say my Blazers are home, all tucked into the garage. When HD screwed up last Saturday, I told them I am disabled and it is very hard to set up getting a pallet jack and someone to move the pellets in place. So, the manager had the delivery person bring a pallet jack and move the pellets into place in my garage. I made it worth the delivery person's time. So in the end, it has all worked out well for me. Four tons of Blazers. Yahoo!!!!!! We plan to let those sit in the garage and continue to bring 12 bags home at a time, until the pellets become scarce, the we will go to the back up supply. It is easier to unload the van or truck, than to haul them in from the garage.
Alright! Great deal Saves! That's two things I'm glad about. 1. You got your pellets into place and are happy. 2. When I saw your thread title I thought they were getting ready to take orders for FHC blazers! Man am I glad I was wrong about that!
No, got the real thing! I am pleased to get them. I had to wait over a month to get them delivered. But for me, that is essential. I am majorly impaired from doing much of anthing while on my feet. I haul in a few bags and I am done. Sub alerted me those pellets were at HD. HD had no issue changing my order from Firesides to Blazers. While HD has messed up on the deliveries, once three years ago and this year. It really didn't have a negative impact. Just frustrating.
Mine showed up today. The delivery was scheduled for Dec. 18th but I let them know I'd take them at any time and all it would take is a phone call and I'd be home in 20 minutes. HD called this morning and said they had room on the truck and I said do it. SO I'm now sitting on 8 tons.
I just hauled the first of my 3 tons down to the basement. I'm a little concerned because all of the bags were wet. I did feel clumps in several of the bags, so I'm definitely going to have some loss. A little disappointing to say the least.
You might want to consider calling HD. If they don't cooperate call the cooperate office. Invite them to to examine the product, pics etc. you might get some money back. Doubt they will want them back. I've opened one of the tons I received. They are not wet.
These were wet enough where my shirt was getting wet hauling them downstairs. I hear you about calling HD but hard to make a claim when I don't know the extent of it. Yes there's some clumps, but who knows when I'll burn the pellets and actually find out how bad it is or isn't.
I would call soon, otherwise they can go back on you and say you exposed them to the moisture. They can come and ck the shipment over.
I agree, call sooner than later so they can't turn it around on you. At the very least, they will replace the bags with clumps for free. My bigger concern though, would be if some of the bags have clumps, that means other bags could have also accumulated sufficient moisture to spoil the contents as well, leading to poor heat output. Can you try a few non clumpy bags over the next couple days to see what kind of results you get?
yea, give them a call, see what they say......I imagine they might take them back (tho not carting them out of your cellar, most likely), but then youre left with no pellets......
Noo.. Sub has got plenty ,but he saw Blazers and couldn't help himself get 3 more ton !!! If I had the room would have done the same thing
Not likely. Afaik they are out of Blazers. I'm not about to haul them back upstairs until they're about to get dumped in the hopper. From what I've seen and felt, some bags have clumps but there's a lot of good pellets in the bags too. Plus my plan is to buy 5 bags of shoulder stuff a week, so I'm hoping these things last 2 or 3 years. So it's hard to make a claim when I might not know the extent of the problem until years from now. So I'm just going to sit tight and hope I don't eat too many of them.
Understood. I didn't think you would get them replaced with Blazers. However, they will replace them with whatever they have in stock.
