Wow...totally forgot about Robert Smith and the Cure. Some great stuff towards the middle of their career!

I always thought Steely Dan was ok, but now I'm not so sure! Don't know who Donald is, but everyone else on that list is on my list of groups to avoid.

There were two more bands at that time that I loved but can't remember.

Little bit of everything in this thread, which suits me cause I'm all over the map when it comes to music. In the last week or so I've listened to Minor Threat, Willie Nelson, David Grier, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Metallica, Bryan Sutton, Tony Rice, Bela Fleck and a few others I'm forgetting at the moment. My favorites are always whatever I happen to feel like listening to at the time.

    Good thread Adam!

Had fun reading all of the bands. I've liked just about all of em too. Surprised no one (maybe I missed it) mentioned Foreigner. I had a pretty special treat on my B-day in 2007. My honey bought tix to an outdoor Foreigner concert at Saddleback Mt in Rangeley Maine. Have been to many different shows but this one was way better than what I was expecting. The show was well done, songs would flow into another. Not much dead time. Big sound and lighting. As each song was played, I'd think, wow they did that one too? Every song went gold or platinum. It's unreal how many hit songs they did. And the guy who wrote em was right there playing like he was 20. Lou Gramm hasn't been with them for a while tho, but the new guy Kelly Hansen, has more than taken over lead vocals. An amazing voice. The drummer was Jason Bonham, Led Zep's drummer's son. He put on quite a show. All good stuff... :rootintootin:

I really liked Foreigner when I was a teenager, grew away from them. Their first album was their best.
