Two brothers went to Ohio and I could not make it work to be the third. Here is the result. The deer was too big to bring out in one piece, but it was all removed. Hog. Period.

Only regret for not going was to miss being a part of my brothers moment. Once in a lifetime deer and it must have been a hell of a moment when they found it.
OK, it would have been a great experience had you all been together, but it didn't work out this time. It happens, don't beat yourself up about it. So... did your other brother harvest a buck? If so, that's a successful hunt- all the way around. Remember, you can't eat horns. WOW, congrats to him! I'm always amazed at the monster deer we have here on Ohio. It's not always the big racks either, we have some large doe's as well. I guess for the most part all the deer here are grain fed from farmer's fields their entire lives which keeps the gene pools healthy.
