I paid a guy years ago to make ones for the 268/272, and 365/372, 395 huskies, and he already made the dolmar ones. at that time the cannon adapter was not available. I now have a mill and make my own, and most of the slots on stihl brand bars have to be elongated to get full chain travel adjustment anyways, so a mill is definitely the way to go versus doing it with a drill... Stihl ES bars are hard to Drill through. some aftermarket stihl bars have longer slots and larger chain adjustment holes already.
I did have to make the slot longer on my Stihl bars to fit my Husky's, I think the Dolmar worked as is. My Sugi has a longer slot already.
as I remember the 7900 worked with the ES slot, because the 7900 studs are so close together the length of the adapter wasn't an issue. I also think the adj hole had to be opened up on the 371/372 but not on the 7900 because the diameter was bigger. been too long since I did that to remember exactly
Yep. He makes numerous adapters. For bar swaps from 3120/14 mm , 9 mm/ 12 mm, etc. I have a couple myself.
She recently got back from Randy with extra bananas to turn this size chain with authority. Oh yeah, baby!
That's Randy and Jon's handy work. I call it the megaphone muffler.....because it looks like the megaphone motorcycle muffler. It's not very loud at all. I love the way they do it.
I have been a little board waiting on parts and got sick of looking at the stained yellow gas tank plastic and leaking bar oil on my 044. Thought I would try something diffrent Now I am working on finishing up the port work and waiting for the gasket kit to come in.
Case is paint, tank plastic is dyed. I was going to dye all the plastic but decided yo just clean it up and give it a shot of clear coat.
