Wildwest, I see you have 6 tons in inventory but with those temps this early you might want to buy 6 more!

I hear ya, I got two big piles that I haven't processed yet. They will be a mess next year if it snows early.

yea...a bit of a rush here too....got to rake the leaves to cut the lawn, then cut down and brushpile the ornamental grasses, take the plastic off the garden and rototill it, bring in all the lawn furniture, and winterize the equipment....its a tall order when its dark when I go to work, dark when I get home, and I work weekends......gonna try to get a lot of it done tomorrow pm.....hopefully!

Mowing the lawn in November isn't part of my repertoire.

I like to give it a short cutting prior to snow......helps the remainder of the leaves blowing in from the forest to NOT stay on my lawn before snow!

One of my my lawns is covered with oak and beach leaves. They will be there until spring unless we get some wind. The tractor is put away for the winter. I'm not able to rake so it is what it is. When the snow melts, if I'm not back on my feet, I'll try to hire someone to clean up the mess.

A map released by NOAA that shows every place (in blue) that is below freezing tonight.

    Me too.
Methinks the "other half" likes a warm house, and Krooser has a serious dislike of this happening if the house gets too cold: smiley_fryinpan.gif

Actually I sometimes open the window to cool the joint for my wife like my Dad used to do when we heated with coal.

After sleeping in cold trucks 270 nights per year for 30 years to save diesel fuel now I like the house warm. Nothing like waking up @ 2AM from a toasty bunk to start a truck with the cab temp about zero and wearing skivvies… or less.

Now get THAT picture out of your mind!

We like it 72°-76° as well. :D

Depends on outside temp. This pic was a couple days ago. It's going down to 9° tonight and is currently in the mid teens. Fahrenheit is cranking and the wood stove is burning.

The house has been staying at 76 since last week which is to damm hot for me, so I always had a windows cracked also. Not the case tonight it is cold as chit, and the house is staying around 72. I did see a warmup coming next week though which would be okay with me.
