Is each piece individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity? Lol.. You're very neat and organized. My driveway full of chips and uglies would drive you crazy - heck, it's driving me crazy..
I throw all the decent sized splitter trash on top when I'm done stacking, goes in my kindling bins(1/2 55gal poly drums) when I load that wood in my trailer for burning. If bark is falling off the wood when splitting it goes in the woods. The wood I'm burning right now is 3.5yo red oak that the bark is falling off cleanly, I threw the mess in the bottom of my trailer in the stove Saturday and thought I was going to overfire mode - glass was clean afterwards
Y'all make me have to go out in the cold and take pictures......so, here's what I do As you can see, I like barrels and trash cans. I have access to a high school wood shop and the scraps
I fill feed bags and then stack them out of th weather. I have an outside boiler so when I fire up or after I let it burn down to remove ashes, I just throw in a whole bag and light the pAper feed bag, then pile the wood on. Works great.
Hey thistle ....i have some hickory bark..its not shagbark..bitternut or pignut i believe...how would i go about makin sum syrup?
I always toss the bark that falls off in the woods. I don't really get many small splits, but the few I do I gathered and tossed in a box I keep near the stove for kindling. This year I bought a box of Rutland Safe Lite fire starters, making kindling pretty much unnecessary. So I'll probably toss all of the scrap in the woods.
