If you really are burning wood cleanly though and there is absolutely no visual smoke coming from your chimney, is there really any chance of getting caught anyway? I assume the 'smoke police' are looking for.... well, smoke. ?? Brian
my thoughts exactly, I have never seen anyone around looking for people burning, but according to their site they exist , think they count more on your neighbors turning you in, it is a $1000 fine if caught. I'd be in trouble over here on the east side of the state. I burn about 1 1/2 to 2 pallets of North Idaho Logs a season. Hardly any trees where I am.
Don't think its a west thing. We have east coast dewsh nozzles filtering in here and foulin up the place. Luckily my road has only seen 3 new residents since 1982. The rest are all old homesteads with ab-original descendants .
