Split off back of trucks and trailers and processed/unloaded at the same time. Used most of it to top off the 2015 for sale pile Ash1.jpeg Ash2.jpeg ForSalePile.jpeg

    Exactly my thought.
I work alone 99% of the time, but would be nice to have helpers that didn't just watch (grandkids).:D

Me too Dave. I'm the only one out of my crew that burns wood. If I had a extra hand I would have double the stacks that I have now. You get so much done with extra hands..

What was nice when we first moved here was my brother and 2 nephews came over and helped us (me) get about 3 cords c/s/s.
It was all wet stuff, but I appreciated the help, even though the wood burned like crap.

No, don't want to handle any more other than to load for delivery. But it will get covered by year end. guy I sell to will take in April and he has a good spot for it where he can stack and top cover. A lot of ash and maple so think he will be good by year end 2015. He knows what he's getting and its age. Stuff on bottom of pile was cut this past summer.

Thankful that two of my best friends heat with wood, so we almost always work together, and each of us have some sons left at home or available to help on breaks from college. I give them gas money to help, and pay them on stuff we sell, or splt for hire.

With three of us, TW-5 produces about 1.5 cords an hour. We switch the guy on the table as that spot wears out quick if he's trying to load or stack at all.

Cutting with my family and these two friends are among the best things in life on this earth.

Nice work Greg. It is always fun to work with the fam. Nice set up you have there.

I am going to cut a good pile of Ash this winter so I will have enough for myself and plenty to sell next fall as well. I just hope we don't get too much snow over the next month and a half! Gotta be able to get it cut and out of the woods!
