Yeah.. No electricity doesn't mean "Amish".

It's a good selling piece. But not what it is.

The wise way is a nice stove and works well. I wish there was more reviews out on this stove. For many this would be a good unit. Especially living off the grid.

So i have been thinking about why some of you haven't rigged up a set of Peltier plates to supply your stoves during electric outages.
You could have a 12v deep cycle on a battery tender till the power cuts out, then switch to battery backup and install the Peltier setup to charge the battery using the heat of the stove.

I have been thinking about a system like this for emergency power for cell charging and some lights...

    Peltier setup? Got any links.

All I could find was a lamp that can charge itself off the heat and a USB device. http://www.stovelite.com/

Pete, tech is all sorted, inexpensive as well, I'm betting if you are resourceful in scrounging you can find a heat sink for cheap, he'll even rig a water cooling setup to make them more efficient for less than $40 all up. 12v 60 watt units are $2.32 on ebay currently

In computers they use them to cool CPU's. If you apply a current one side gets cool

When I called they didn't answer instead it went to voice mail??? I left one and got nothing. I have reported them to ebay due to the incredible lack of response and the outright bs add…. Watch this dealer if you order they have stoves on ebay but buyer beware some pretty bs adds…...

Nope, she did not run the AC once last summer. But then I don't recall any temps above 90 last summer. I had the AC in the bedroom window but only ran it a few times. I can't sleep if it hot and humid. Did enough of that in Vietnam , never again!

I like it warm but even I can't tolerate that, especially in the morning.
