Hallelujah, My son in-law and grandson are here getting the garage and yard ready for winter. I thought I had myself in a ness I wasn't getting out of. We didn't have a frost until 31 Oct, now it has snowed twice and winter temps are here.
One on my sons made room for the pellets in the garage. I hate being dependent. I am very greatful for them looking out for the wife and me.
Looks like I can park the car in the garage this winter.:banana::BrianK:

It was down in the mid 20s last night and ran the Breckwell on low as usual and woke up to 76 in the morning. Love it. The Nation's Choice pellets seem to burn pretty well, low ash and decent heat. No clinkers and the glass was clean.
Earlier today I split some old pine rounds that I had sitting since summer of 13, they are bone dry, so thats good shoulder season wood. Probably 1/4 of a cord of it. Ill mix that with Oak and Maple and Cherry and it burns well.

Well said, and yes, I am a grumpy old geezer. They all seem to be living in a fast lane. I have leaned to get out of the way. Then if they find out I tried to lift or climb I catch hell. One of them was here to pick me off the floor when I feel off the side of the stairway in the garage. This is not what I had in mind when I retired.

Worked on snowblower today.....I've had it since about '93-'94 and other than belts and friction wheel and such I haven't really put any money into this thing. Bought a new shave plate last year and installed it today. Completely amazing that I bought a genuine MTD shave plate and the new one is about half the thickness of the old one. I'm guessing I won't get 20+ years out of the new one. Despite that, it's still one of the best investments I've ever made, the thing still runs great!

    How many did you make?

I have 16, 12 are installed so far. Two go in after the holiday decorations come down and the other two might not get used this year as they cover a sliding door and the youngest grandchild is almost one and is running around.

Lol, only four. You are WAY ahead. They are a bit time consuming so I only did the ones in the occupied bedrooms and the window nearest the stove. Eventually I need a about five more.

I did a trash run, a recycle run, a chicken feed run, fixed up the large coop for the winter (water heater and its' base, dusted and added new pine shavings), pulled all of the stuff from the little coop, put the bad black azzed chickens in with the old chickens (this caused problems when I went to put them up for the night). Drove the sticks in further on the deer guards so they will stay up in the snow storms, I had just planted them and went in for a nap when the boss decided to apply the fencing, oh well, at least nothing got hurt.

Yes, the plastic is very transparent. I made then two years ago I believe but haven't gotten around to the rest. I think I clock in at around 2 hours each one.

X2. At least that's what they tell me at work.

I'm glad I'm not the only one being lectured.

Just looked at the temp spread forcast for the next ten days. Not more than a 15degree spread from night and day during the whole time. Most all of it 20f to 30f. Bit cold a bit early! This right after Oct which didn't have a killing frost until the last day.
