Pot rost with carrots, onions and potato is an outstanding meal. We really limit our portions of red meats, so whatever I get, I want to be a good cut.

Snowy here today. Nothing much at my house (can still see grass showing). Brother in law lives about 20 miles south of me and they have a foot of snow on the ground.

Based on the forecast, it sounds like my luck will run out soon. They're forecasting 6 inches by Monday. All lake effect.

This means I need to get off my azz and get tires on the truck tomorrow. Those skins that are on it now won't get me far once the greasy chit comes.

I'm starting to understand why my grandparents went to Florida every year around November 1.

We got a couple inches of snow during the night. Melted off the paved surfaces by day's end. I went to the Y for my pool exercises. Was the only one there for a while. Went to HD. The have mixed blend firesides. Short supply. Was told all their pellets will soon be $269/ton. Walmart still $219/ton for MWP. Clerk at HD said those were hold overs from the prior year. Odd, they have so much of it.
Getting darn cold here. But still toasty warm in here. Stove in on the lowest setting. Blazers in there now. Glass is still totally clean.

Picked up 25 bags of the Nation's Choice Pellets at HD. I just received my rewards card from chase so I am buying a ton, no longer have a truck so I use my wifes van and make a few trips. HD is a few miles from home.

Worked on the pellet furnace tonight. I have the exhaust done, the OAK done, and the hot air supply connected to the ductwork. Just waiting on the dampers for each furnace, and we'll be ready to rock.

Spent past two days hunting, Birds scarce but got a few pheasants so far this year, dog working great! Working at the old liquor store today, picking up some supplies for a cold night. (Thinking some gin for a few martinis). Looking forward to roasting some pheasants this holiday season. Pan seared in bacon, then wrapped in bacon stuffed with onions a little apple and celery :p and finished in oven. MMMMMMMM.:chef::drunk:

I broke my own rule about not waiting until the last minute to do things. Went to get tires this morning (Discount Tire) and you'd have thought it was Wal Mart on Black Friday. People were lined up inside and outside the door. And that was right when they opened at 8 AM. Guess that's what happens when they forecast 6 inches of snow. Went to a smaller independent shop (where I should have gone in the first place), but they didn't have any appointments available today. Set up an appointment for Monday after work. It all worked out, as they were cheaper than Discount anyways.

Got the winter tires swapped over onto the daily driver. Raked the last of the leaves, put away the lawn furniture, torched the brush pile and swept up the pine needles that were on the back patio.

Just remembered I was going to clean the gutters one last time. Back outside I go.

I'll say this once and then shut up, you know winter comes so why the bad word does everyone get caught flat footed?

    You all should know better.
