They had a number of different 'HS' series Tillotson carbs on the open port 61s; 163, 254, 263 and can also use the 260A/S off a late model 272, with a change to the carb spacer. You can also bolt a 272XP top end including the carb right on. No decomp, so your right arm will get a work out.

Some of the Craftsman saws are actually fine pieces of equipment.

Correct Fuzz, H-380 industry D009. If it is a later version of the saw it may have rim instead of spur on it. All mine have been changed over to rim. The saw will actually pull an 8T rim if 20 inch or less bar is used, it will certainy pull 8T with a 16.

It comes as is with a 16" bar however I was going to convert it to a 20" bar to match the size Im used to.

Oh yeah she's seen some use but she starts up pretty easy and I can get it to run the throttle a bit but it chokes out. Going to tune it up after I get home from work tomorrow and see if that does it any good, if not I'm ordering a carburetor for it.:D

The guy I bought it from actually got it from a guy who used to work for the county so I'm sure it saw a lot of limbing in its day. When I have it running I'll see if I can get a video of it sawing through some red oak logs with a fresh chain and maybe a 20 inch bar.:tree:

I borrow the splitter I use sometimes from the guy up the hill so I'd rather not irritate them...too much.:D

Also the misses works at 5 in the morning and wouldn't much appreciate me running the old saw at full throttle not 20 feet from the bedroom window.
