Listening to Old Time radio shows

Anyone else enjoy listening to Old Time radio shows? I found a lot of free shows that I download on my phone.

 

I do! Used to have DVDs full of the stuff!

 

Do you have a favorite show. Dragnet, Suspense and Johnny Dollar are on my current list.

 

I have been listening to CarTalk for the past 10 years or so. Love that show. Up to last month my commute was about 1.2 hours each way so I had more time to listen to radio, now not as much.

 

Great show indeed!

 

Not gonna lie, I shed a tear last Saturday when I heard the show. Cant believe Tom passed.

 

Sad that Tom just passed away. Anyone ever listen to Under the Hood?

 

No havent stumbled on that one yet.

Tom was a stitch....his laugh was infectious.

 

Tom's laughter was unique. Its like he would get stuck on laughter. I learned so much about cars from listening to the show, but it was their humor that keeps me coming back every Saturday.

 

It plays on 106.5 on Saturday mornings. I actually like it better than Car Talk.

 

The Haunting Hour was great. There is another one, a detective one, but I can't remember the name of it. That one was really good.

 

I heard a couple Haunting Hour shows...good stuff.

Phillip Marlowe is a good detective show.

 

There was a website that had a bunch of old time radio shows all available to be played that I was playing around on a while back. I listened to a few of the "horror" shows. Interesting stuff

 

We've enjoyed listening to Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.

 

That's a great show. I've got one of his books.

 

My brother lives in Minneapolis and turned my dad onto that show. It's pretty good

 

If possible try to get to a show. Its a lot of fun.
