When my daughter was young, we would play a game called "is that a man or a woman?" When we were at Walmart.

You have seen nothing until going to the walmart here during Talladega race week.

Working commercial construction full time & tree work part time is rough on clothes.I buy all my jeans & some sweatshirts from DAV,Salvation Army & Goodwill. Not unusual for jeans to be trashed in a month or two.Cant see spending even $10/pair for the cheaper new ones at Walmart etc when they don't last any longer than the $2-5/pair ones at the thrift stores, garage sales....T shirts I get free from employers/local construction supply businesses, other sources.

I don't skimp on work coats/winter parkas/coveralls,steel toed work boots, tools or safety gear though, money is no object there however.

    Let the mullet games begin.

The only time it was fun, we were across the street from Wally World at a wine bar. The wife and I had gotten a pretty good wine buzz on and thought we'd run over and pick up some cheese and crackers and finish the night off at home.

We probably looked like a couple of teenagers wandering around that store with the drunken case of the giggles. We've been chasing that Wally World dragon ever since, I highly suggest you all try it. For added flair, wear pajama bottoms and house slippers!

    Good times, good times indeed:D

I passed this idea to my father in law for Christmas. He sent it early :) My husband has worn it every day since then. Thanks!

Just a little update. My Walmart flannels have been holding up quite well, and don't shrink much at all.

But I did find an even better deal. Costco has these shirts for 12 bucks, 3 more dollars than Walmart but the quality is way better. Much thicker, nice collar, nice stitching, and nice buttons. I got 1, but will be back for more

I have used my dad's wife's membership to order online a few times. We don't have one either. The pics you posted look nice! But I don't trust myself with "machine wash cold". Whats up with the chambray for a few $ more? Is chambray the soft brushed flannel? PS, dh still loving the Bean fleece lined!

Yup, wore them myself today. I have carharts, lee, and some off brands, but they all seem to be great.

I don't know if this was mentioned or not. Quality flannel is yarn dyed, not material that is woven then dyed. You cac easily tell by looking inside the shirt. If it is lighter in color inside, it is not yarn dyed. Generally, yarn dyed shirts will last and last.
