I lived in Buffalo for 4 years. Seeing the lake effect warnings for the southern tier brings back memories. Sun shining in Buffalo, Snow dumping in the south. Good times. Have fun!
Yuk! Ewww even!! I spent some time in Little Falls NY back in the late 90's. Woke up to 2 inches of sn*"(not gonna say or type that word!) every morning. Not enough to stop ya, But enough to slow ya down and pizz ya off. I mean every flippin day it was start the van-clear the sn*" and scrap the windows then repeat. I almost(some say did) went nuts!! Looks like today will be our last warm day. I see the 4 letter word in Sunday/Mondays forecast! Still not ready!! Back hurts just thinking about it.
They're calling for 3 to 6 inches just a bit west of me. With lake effect snow this time of year a couple miles can mean the difference between raking leaves and running a snowblower.
We missed the snow Monday and Tuesday… went a little north of us. Some areas in the UP got 32" with more last night. Been chilly here… 19F right now with a predicted high in the mid-20's. My wife is still trying to keep us warm on level one… screw that . I'm cleaning her out right now on #5 before I turn it back to #3… Stay warm.
We're lucky enough to be a bit outside the lake effects snow machine. Just an occasional flurry or squall reaches this far south and west.
Looks like the sn*" is coming in a bit early. Supposed to get an inch or 2 by morning! Could be a slick commute tomorrow AM. So it begins!
We got lucky. Got about an inch of stuff stuck to the deck and the cars. But the roads didn't seem to have anything stick. Got up early and left early. The ride in was uneventful, No issues and arrived early.
Here in PA we got just enough to make the roof and the yard white but that's all. Now they're talking Monday night something sweepable (sweepable? is thata word?) Anyway I'll be using my leaf blower.
Woke up to about 20° and a light dusting. After my 57 mile drive, I arrived to about 3" of snow at work. Continued to snow on and off all day. Got about 4" total. Drove home and nothing here still But it's cold and the pellet furnace is running
