This 30 makes some chatter. Any one else experience this? Just getting it going before bed and you can tell it's getting up to temp by the creeking noises.
My old smoke dragon & rigid pipe used to creak and pop as it got hotter. I associated those sounds with warmth
It's not a bothersome or concerning noise, just the ole girl letting me know she is happy, almost saying "feed me, feed me. "
Even my Napoleon's do this. Both the 1900p freestander and the NZ3000 fireplace. Pings, tings creaks and taps. Once up to temp it quits. Completely normal........
oh yeah you can tell what your stove doing without looking at the fire or the thermometers. expansion and contraction
The T6 will make a few creaking noises as it comes up to temp. Ii is just the nature of the beast as the material expands at different rates when one are is colder and the other is hotter. Should be fine
My NC30 does a little flutter thing when the fire is hot but the flue hasn't fully warmed yet. A mini-huff and you can see the flames pulsing rapidly as the flue's suckage oscillates. It sounds like a mexican person rolling their Rs. The stove doesn't shake though, just makes that noise.
