I put it away with a mess under the deck. pulled it off, pulled the idlers, gave them as much grease as it could. seal on the bearing don't come of like on the spindles. Greased the spindle bearing, just popped of the bearing cover & packed some new grease in the bearings & popped the seal cover back in. Cleaned the deck, gave it a good coating of oil. Hung from the ceiling to get it clean & remove the blades. Oil filter & oil change. Just needs the blades sharpened & put away for winter.
I'm still waiting for all the leaves to drop so I can chop them up with the mower. I might be doing that in Carhartt's though with the way the weather is looking. At least I can heat my garage though for the oil change, greasing fittings, and sharpening the blades.
Yes of course! It's was just legalized in Alaska via this months elections along with Oregon and Washinton, DC. Here is the universal icon for a group of dudes firing up a doobie: Now the fact Washington DC legalized is kind of ironic. We all know the politicians in Washington have been doing bong hits for years!! At least I hope so, cause they can't be as stupid as they act, can they?? We are going to need an additional sign to the "beer" one!! Having fun yet??
Best thing I've found is using a flap disc on an angle grinder. Gets them good and sharp and don't take too much metal off.
Thanks That's the plan good idea Where you get the discs ? I get them close with the bench grinder, trying to not overheat them Then hand file . Good exercise Got 2 sets to do, sharpen & oil them , ready when needed.
Have had good luck using the good quality frame restoration paint on the underside in the past . Its strong..and holds up good . But I find myself using oil more as well !
LOL Like a horse is better than an ATV. but I park the atv & the mower, Done deal , No food no vet & no care needed , day in & day out 365 days a year.
Yes, but you miss out on all that fertilizer . Also a lot less noise. Just think of the wooly wear you are missing out on.
Having raised sheep from the time I was about 3 until my early twenties, I can assure you that while they are excellent and efficient mowers, they are anything but quiet.
