Swap meet treasures.

So my buddy asked me last week if I was interested in going to a swap meet in CT yesterday. I reluctantly said yes as it was the wifey's B-day and I was taking the kids for the day to give her some r&r....

I may not miss another one for years to come! Found these two jewels....

first is a Homelite 150 automatic and is a runner, in great shape, snagged it for $25

Second is a 1963 Wright B520. It's a 115cc, my buddy knew I was looking at the one Nate has in his collection and bought it for me as a thanks for helping him out on previous stuff.

The Wright looks like a heck of a turkey slicer. I could get into trouble at a swap meet like that.

 

It actually weighs in at 25#!
I thought the 660 was heavy....

Heh. Looks like they basically bolted the blade directly to the connecting rod.

 

It is a second connecting rod attached to the crank

 

What I don't get about these things is how they ever expected them to work. The stroke of the blade is a couple of inches, right? Where's the sawdust supposed to go?

Tore it down before getting a psi reading, its cleaning up very nicely and have a carb kit on the way.

That would be bad for you....... you should stay away from them

 

will post a few tomorrow. Installed the carb kit, rebuilt the recoil and dogs. I'm getting some new fuel line and filter soon, have fired it off with starter fluid, but tank needs cleaning before a full fledged run.
