Oh. I like the 12 hour shifts. Now I'm on 10 hour shifts. Another day or two off a week is nice. Sometimes the 12s can be a loooong day. But when those extra days off come every week. Positives and negatives to any shift. Will you be cutting wood on your next day off?

I get plenty of days off thru the week.
Yep, planning on Monday morning, then it looks like the weather might try to shut me out of the woods, if that's the case then I have a tangled mess on the edge of lane/driveway holding a couple/few truckloads I had started on last Thursday, which I opened up some and scored a load of beech. Otherwise, I have access to a 40 acre woodlot which had 300 trees harvested I've been cutting in.

Sudafed. My head and sinuses feel so much better, but I am no where close to going to sleep.

Nothing like a head cold messing with your sleeping routine.

I'm on 10's also M-F. We get one day off during the week which rotates forward every week, so every 5th week turns into a 4 day week end. After Feb 1st, I get to make my own schedule...........

The movie was very good. Whoever wrote it has quite an imagination, and the folks that put it together really are talented. It's amazing what they can do with movies now. Love going to the movies with great special effects.

We saw it yesterday in IMAX. Its worth seeing on the big screen for the visuals, I saw a lot of parallels to 2001.

However it was full of plot holes IMO.... sometimes it tried to hard to be 2001. Some of the characters where forgettable. I was impressed but not "holy wow'd" like when I first saw Nolan's "Inception"

My house is still covered in BenMoore oil base siding stain from the last paintjob. that mildews on the North side as well. Oil base is not immune (old real Linseed oil paint especially will mold, unless you cut it with Turpentine which is a great natural preservative.... matter of fact a 50/50 mix of linseed and turpentine is a mix we call "blopturp" and used a lot in antique restoration to prep old weathered wood to take paint)

With oil base if your prep is not very good or if the base is subject to a lot of expansion and contraction (like strong southern sun exposure) over time it fails by cracking. Latex is more flexible and tolerates that better. On the flip side, latex does not seal as well as oil and the surface is not as durable in applications where the painted surface is getting a lot of physical abuse. So decide based on those factors.

For priming I love oils for outside applications, fresh wood (since it soaks in and seals without raising grain) and anywhere that the you normally get adhesion problems or deal with water/grease (kitchens/baths).

If its giving you a headache wear an organic vapor respirator. I wear mine even for painting latex indoors these days as everything gives me a headache.
