Whole bunch of white oak!

    Tree man dropped some wood off a few weeks back. I've still got some piles of rounds out back I need to split, but who can turn away two dump truck loads of white oak :hair:

    I cut on it a little bit yesterday. I'll probably finish it once I get everything out back split and stacked. Pics below for all you wood addicts :D

    I love the smell of white oak when processing. That monster pile of splits in my backyard has the whole neighborhood smelling like a warm vanilla scent!

    I like it too. Most people don't like the smell of red oak, but I think it smells like a bag of salt & vinegar chips, and I love it :thumbs:

    Awesome score Barferoni! Around here red oak is more common and I think it's rather smelly but I can live with it .. Try smoking with the white oak as I hear it's very good for that!

    Yep, around 36". The 291 will get a work out that's for sure :rofl: :lol:

    Haven't gotten to work on this load anymore, I've been noodling some evil sweet gum and magnolia to make room for it
