18 " with ps chain with rakers at .025. I bought the rim sprocket kit with 7 pin and I must say it lost torque with that setup. I put the 6 tooth spur back on with the 18 b/c and it has balls even with the bar almost buried. The extra reach of the 18 bar is really nice when limbing with that 241
Did you try the rim with the 16" bar,,, urrr I mean 14-1/2 bar? I have a rim on order but it has not come in yet. Hoping it will be OK with the 14-1/2 bar on mine.
I didnt but it has plenty of torque with the 18" bar and 6 spur. Shouldnt be much difference with the bar not buried between the 16 and 18 bar. Very little resistance with just chain running in alil more bar but if u bury both it would make a difference. Strictly limbing the 7 pin would be more chainspeed and quicker but u will notice a torque loss vs the 6 spur when u bury the bar
OK, got it. I cut a load of firewood with mine yesterday, 8-16" Elm. Those little 241's sure have some grunt. The more I use mine the more I like it. BTW what length Sugi's are on your 362 and 461? I'm thinking about getting one for my 441, I think a 24" would be best for it.
