    Hello

Came across this log set. A few people I know have one in their Harman P61 and P61a.
The new stoves come with the 3 fire bricks so I do not see the log set on most newer stoves.

Does anyone have this log set? Do u like it?

    Is it a good idea?
I know it does get ashy and more work to clean. Maybe nice to have in there all summer for looks?

    Comments?
See pics below. Not bad for $80 dollars or so?

oh, I have definite opinions on them, Don!
First of all, they aren't just for looks. They act as a firebrick to keep the back wall cooler...so, you need them OR firebrick on that bracket. Now, check out Don's pic #2- EVERY ONE of those logs are broken....should be replaced. They aren't adequate there.

They look ok when first installed, but quickly get covered in ash, and cease to look like logs, rather, they looks like piles of ash. Within a day or so.

    They cost extra (about $100)

They are fragile (see pic 2 in OP)

The newest P series units have mirrored glass, so ya wont see anything when the stove isn't running anyways.

Don't even get me started on the logsets for the inserts! NOT a fan!
