First load out. This actually came from the trim job from the front two oak trees. They still have the main portion of the back tree standing. So it may be a few days before I get that.

Looking at the leaves I think it's a red oak. Maybe pin?

Yes, one of the front trees is a pin oak. I don't know what the other is. Its got a long slender leaf. I'll try to take a pic tonight. But the big tree is that and the other tree that got trimmed lastnight is that also.

From what I can tell it might be a Shingle Oak.

:(.... I just got called to call the tree people and it sounds like I've got a bunch of 9"-12" long pieces of wood... Even after all the discussions with them...I'm hoping for the best but expecting a disaster...

It is a red oak. Possibly a pin, which also is a red.

1st one is a pin oak; second is red.

Much better than he had let on. We got a nice pile, of the smaller sections. Plus still have the main portion to take down. Now for me to get to work

Here's the portion that I need to get out in the next couple of days. Trailer time I think. Then my portion that I took tonight.

So far everything looks fairly decent cuts. Will have to trim a few ends down, but that's to be expected. I'm happier than a pig in a mud lot....:DNow to find time for splitting....

The bark is wrong for BB. The wood looks an awful lot like red oak - think you have some willow oak there.

The leaves in that photo are not black birch and not like any oak growing in these parts.
