Ok, and a bit to cover shipping unless you are coming by the shop to pickup.

The Husky cylinders should still have some markings. Most Mahl cast jugs will have a number starting with the bore measurement. The Kolbenschmidt cylinders will have the KS (with the K 'superimposed' over the S) and other numbers. Many of us can ID a Husky cylinder by visual characteristics and a bore measurement....

The list I put is what there is for now.

Please stop harassing me over other stuff. I don't have time to catalog everything, take pictures, feed them cheap beer and tuck them in at night!
Hell it's not even 4am and I'm up already. Went to be at 1am!

If the Husky cylinders have no numbers or markings of other types, they are probably AM parts.

I'm in no hurry for any of them. I would be interested in a 181/281 husky jug if there was one.

I think there are a few people ahead of me, but I'd be interested in the 1128 if it somehow becomes available and can be more precisely identified.

Its possible. The couple I looked at where a clamshell design where the crank bearings were housed with the cylinder. All one piece. The shelf is labeled Husqvana.

Just frustrating when I'm just doing this to help out and I'm getting nasty messages about ignoring people, fighting on who was first, couple people wanting 14 different measurements for a known part number.
Not sure what the deal is, but it is stressful on my end and certainly not enjoyable at all!

I hear that you're frustrated, Nate, but most of those numbers you posted for the Stihl cylinders aren't Stihl part numbers, they're casting numbers that we generally can't look up in some reference document. In fact you only gave the part number for one of the Stihl cylinders -- the 1125 020 1216, which you could use on your 360. For the rest, the list leaves us guessing about an awful lot.

For example the one I'm interested in, your list says "1128 25W2." I can surmise it's from an 1128-series saw, but if I Google that number for more info, I get bupkis. My best, semi-educated guess is that it's for an 044, 046, MS440 or MS460. I have no way to narrow it down, but a full 11-digit part number OR a picture and a couple of measurements could get us there. I understand if you don't have time to play 20 Questions over this, but the questions aren't being asked out of laziness.

Ok, well that would have been helpful to know. Those are what I found listed on them, I assumed they were good part numbers.

Good to know I have one for the 360, I have done zero erase arch on then, just walked to the shelf and wrote down part numbers. I know there are tons more, but not nicely sitting on a shelf.
Heck I found 6 lawn tractors, a brand new tractor bucket, 2 Wisconsin 4 cylinders and a 60x100 tarp, almost new yesterday no one knew about.

    Good post . :D

The cylinders will not sell themselves. People will want to see pics of the cyl, to ensure its in good condition. Because of your lack of info and response to questions, people get antsy.

If I needed a part that you had? I would want your price (I don't want to guess what you want for it), a pic or 3 of the actual part, and the actual part number.

As Jon said above, that 1128 could he for 4 different saws. I would want to make sure it's the right part before I bought it. Rather than a shot in the dark and $100 later (and I get a jug I don't need).

It's apparent that people are interested and want to buy them. You have to do some footwork if you want to sell them.

Of course an alternative to doing the selling work yourself is to let someone else do it. Heck, box up the lot of them, send them to me and I'll be your liquidator and distributor. I'm good at it.

You still don't seem to realize I listed them as a favor, not because they need to be sold. I don't have time to mess with it aside from mailing them out.

I have said this several times now.

Do these jugs belong to you, Nate? Or someone else? If you don't have time to mess around with them, feel free to box 'em up and send 'em to me or someone else who can spend a few hours figuring out what they are, and getting them properly posted up in the classifieds. I'm sure there are several guys here that could help you get them sold, and who will be happy to help out.

I dont really need any more projects, but I'd like to see these parts go to the guys on this site that can make good use of them... I've sold quite a few parts on another forum and unfortunately its a lot of work, but I'm willing to make it happen on my end. Let me know... I've already got a Conversation going with you.

Plenty here said they can try an identity with a pic. Many seem interested. Some even willing to help.

Send me your address. You can have 10% of what they bring in. Probably have 2-3k worth. I'm keeping a 360 and 460 cylinder.

This may be one of the most intriguing threads I've ever seen!

    ---------------------------------
I've got a line on a bunch of great stuff to sell. It's not mine, I'm selling it as a favor to someone else even though I don't have time to. You don't know the owner, and they aren't a member here, but I'm doing them a favor if I haven't already mentioned that, although I don't have time to. I can't tell you what it is exactly, but don't pester me with questions. If you don't want it I don't care because I'm doing this as a favor that I don't have time for. Just tell me what you can buy if for elsewhere (or at least your best guess at what it is) and I'll sell mine to you for less. Well, it's not mine, I'm doing this as a favor, even though I don't have time to do this favor.

I'm going to keep some of the stuff because I can use it on my saws. I know this because you told me. I wouldn't have figured that out myself because I don't know what this stuff is . . . and I don't own it . . . and I can't tell you how much it costs . . . and this is just a favor I'm doing for someone . . . and I don't have time for favors . . . or questions...

    ---------------------------------
    :hair:

I know this post will probably be deleted. Sorry Dex & company, just couldn't help myself when I read through this thread. After I read the start of it I figured I might be able to get a non-decomp 066 cylinder for my Red Light, but then I realized the chances of finding out what he has and if it's what I need and how much it would cost is like my old man always says, "A snowball's chance in hell"...

I sent Nate my address. I'm hoping I can help him figure this out and get some cylinders to you guys who need them. Ive gotten enough favors from guys on this and other forums, I don't mind working on this with him. I'm actually pretty excited about it.

I don't have a lot of free time these days, either... but I will do my best to get this done with Nate.
