Little guy walked right past me the other night sitting in the ghost blind. I forgot to turn the flash off my phone though and scared him away taking the picture.

I laugh at your little guys........ Those are like the largest bucks I see
What do you do for scent control that you don't get winded on the ground that close to deer?

I have a scent lock suit, and take a scent free shower, spray down with scent spray. But even then I do get winded. Most important thing is to hunt the wind. I have a few places I hunt and always let the wind direction make the decision of where I hunt. I have had great luck with that. The last 3 big bucks I've killed I have stayed out of that spot until the wind was right and it worked I got the deer I was after.

It was really dead last night. Only saw two does and one spike all evening and the spike had zero interest in the does. I still haven't seen a single sign of the rut coming on on in spite of all my friends reporting bucks cruising and chasing. Kind of disappointing so far lol

I decided to wait until Thursday, with that being close to the second week in Nov should be really good. Also the moon phase should prompt a lot of movement Thursday-Sunday. And add in the cold weather coming this weekend I think it will be awesome!

Cool, I'm not even really hunting this weekend but I have never really "hunted" the rut before and want to see some action just for good practical experience for next year :D. I have two younger boys that have never really bow hunted before and am planning on going with them next week on their property to help them out. I went over a few weeks ago and helped them set up blinds and put out corn and have helped them sight in their crossbows so hopefully they can get on a deer and get hooked.

First hunt over the new food plot. Buck Forge Oat field surrounded by turnips and rapes. I used the decoy and rattled on a button buck. Oh well!

I always hunt the wind. It's the number 1 factor in choosing my stand locations.

Looks like a real healthy food plot. This year with all the acorns, I have heard a few guys say they ain't coming to the corn. I just laugh at them!

I was out in my stand Tuesday morning. Saw 2 doe and 1 spike and another deer which I didnt get a good look at. The first 45 mins in the stand there was a lot of movement but everything was out of range. Came home with nothing. My friend texted me the day after to tell me a nice 6 pointer just walked by my stand.....not sure if he's BSing me or not.

View from a stand at my buddy's farm. No luck tonight but with the full moon I didn't expect much. Just nice to be out.
