Hope you get one! Post up pictures for us To be honest, It as pretty windy! Especially on top of the hill where I was hunting.
Saw a bunch of deer this evening! 7 does and 2 bucks the highlight of my evening was watching the 2 bucks spar for a while before taking off after the doe. They never got close enough for a good look and stayed between 40 and 50 yards out but the one looked pretty good from that far away.
Slow up here today, Friday was crazy with deer movement. The wind the last couple of days has been crazy swirling.
The wind was crazy here also and they were a lot spookier. Next time you are int he stand post up some pics I always like seeing the areas people hunt in.
The view from my stand tonight. Had a real nice 8 come in. Had a nice rack well past his ears and tall not a lot of mass on the antlers. Grunted at him and he crossed the creek but he new something was up. Never winded me but never close enough for a shot
Thanks that is my home away from home this time of year. Nothing like a little nap in the tree when there is a gentle breeze rocking you to sleep. Lol. With the rut picking up I will be there a lot this week.
9 of my friends all shot huge bucks this weekend the smallest one was probably 145 so something must have been upI was out most of the afternoon today just for watching and really didn't see that much activity but it was on for most of the guys I know.
I'd swear there was a small deer in this pic... right side of the pic, other side of the creek up in that brush a little, standing still, broadside, head to the left... can't see head or tail tho... I even blew up the pic. I'm sure, as usual, I'd be lookin' at shadows...
