Funny story with little AWOL here (the kid in this set). Look at the 2nd pic and you can see the kid smiling from ear to ear. His dad is standing right next to me/him, but out of the picture. Right after I snapped the pic the kid turns to the left, grinning from ear to ear, looking at his dad, not watching the saw---FULL THROTTLE IN THE CUT, LIKE A BOSS!!!!! I would have loved to have caught that on camera.
We are all good friends.........................BUT, when friends step on the stage it is game on. Chit gets real. Do any of these guys look like they are playing around? These are some of my favorites (especially the first one). Are they locked in or what? Bragging rights until next year are determined in the next few seconds. About this first pic...The race was so close it was declared a tie. Hedge and Wiggs switched sides on the can't. It was so close again I thought it was a tie but Matt got the nod from a couple judges. Only a difference of hundredths of a second at most.
It seems we had a lot of kids at this one. Here are just a few (including me and mine in the last one). I am glad it is an event that kids are welcome and families can attend together...
Big thanks to Matt and Lisa for putting on an amazing GTG. I can't say enough good things about you. A big thanks to all those who cooked and brought food. I gained a few lbs this weekend. If you haven't been to a GTG, you need to put it on your list. They really are a great time. Any members in Hawaii that want to host?
