    Yes I did!

    Now you got me going, I'll tell the whole story. The wife saw a few hollow rounds out by the wood pile.

    So she told me to save them for her to be used as flower planters. By that time they were already firewood so I told her I would get more. So the next time out I cut a bunch of them but stopped on the way home at a local garden center. The woman who owns the place bought all I had on the trailer. When I got home the wife asked if I got her any flower planters and said, "Yes, but I sold them all". Well surprisingly enough this did not exactly earn me an affections that night.

    We now call them "stumpies" and I sold a few of them, after getting the wife stocked up.

    They split really easy with a blow from a splitting maul.

    It is amazing when they get going, like a big blowtorch!
    Kinda makes ya think twice about a chimney fire...
