The MS362 has gone M-Tronic! I know the 60cc category doesn't get a lot of love from the AS guys compared to the 50cc and 70cc saws. But 60cc is a popular one with us firewood guys.

I'd be real interested to see how much, if any, improvement comes from the MS362 going M-Tronic. Some competition for the 562XP or am I being too optimistic?

I know I'm real happy with my two M-Tronic machines so far.

I'd buy one but my saw budget is kinda tapped out right now......

So.... anybody in the market for a new 60cc saw? :D:D:D

Like the 562, I'd let it run it's course for a year or 2 to give them time get the bugs out.
Next they'll add "rev boost" :)

Yawn... why overly complicate a perfectly good system with electronics that can and will fail?

Because every saw, Husky or Stihl, that has received the M-Tronic or AutoTune systems has been a better machine for it. And from the end user point of view, it allows them to enjoy peak performance from a saw every time they run it without breaking out the screwdriver because it's 50 deg. cooler/warmer than the last time they ran that machine. It also allows a manufacturer to design an engine without compromising performance by engineering in a wide "fudge factor" for carb settings being slightly off or having to set the carb to function well throughout a wide range of weather/temperature conditions. Stratocharging and the new M-tronic/AutoTune systems also keep the EPA happy WITHOUT power robbing catalytic mufflers. And that's a deal I'd take any day.

Maybe we should ditch the electronic coils nearly every saw built in the last 30 years or so, and go back to mechanical breaker point ignitions? Yah, I didn't think so..... ;) :zip:

The 562XP was an all-new machine from the ground up. The 362 has been around for years now, as has the M-Tronic system. I don't see any reason to wait if you were considering purchasing one.

Does anybody know if the MS362 uses a single butterfly setup like the MS261 or a dual-butterfly setup like my MS441?

Been thinking Stihl should have done it a long time ago...

59cc auto tune against a 59cc auto tune??

I love Stihl. But my money is still on the Husq.

I'm just wondering if the improvement would be like what happened to the MS441. It really wasn't a well liked saw stock until it got brains.

Do you do videos Terry? If you or Randy get your mitts on one of these newer MS362's, I'd like to see the results and maybe see it run against the 562XP. We already know what you do to a 562. ;)
