First thoughts on the Heat'rs: No dust or fines to speak of. They light easily and create a nice large flame. Ash is perfectly fine (pictures after I get to burn some more). My main complaint: heat output. I'm only getting 370 out of these - as compared to MWPs at 425, Ligs at 450, and Hardwood Heat at 500. My theory is the M/C in these Heat'rs (at least the ones I got) is too high. Rather than that super dry, light as air feel, they have more of a heavy "waxy" feel to them. Seems like a lot of HDs around here have the Heat'rs right now so I'm going to pick up a couple bags at a different store and see if they are any different. Oh, I think the predominant smell in these is spruce.

I grabbed some Heatr's from HD today, ten bags. Won't be able to get to them for a bit but will post results when I do :dex:

I can't wait to get my hands on some for testing (Will is going to hook me up). I contacted Forest Energy last week inquiring what the wood species is in their pellets but still haven't heard anything....it's been a week.....

Good. Suspect you got some from the same batch I did. Can't wait to hear what you think of them.

I waited over a month for my delivery date from HD. So today came and went, no delivery. Second time in three years they pulled this one on me. So I called them a third time today. Got some sad story but that I would be on priority for next Thursday or Saturday. I told them I am disabled and had to line up a pallet jack and a person to to them in place in the garage. He said while he can't promiss anything, he would ask to have a pallet hack on the truck and put them in place for me. So I wait again. He said I am still going to get the Blazers. I wanted to tell him to go to blazes but I have to be patient. Waiting really won't change anything. I have pellets to carry me through. Besides, I really wanted this for the dead of winter.

Great. Now I'm nervous. My 3 tons of Blazers aren't scheduled to be delivered until Dec. 18th. If you get the same delivery driver I had for my FSU's, you'll understand. I was assured they were pulled from inventory and tagged with my name. They better be.

When I found those Blazers a couple weeks ago, I paid for them and then walked out behind the building with the lawn and garden guy and stuck signs with my name on the pallets. I was afraid if I didn't, they would walk away. They were delivered the next day, but still I was nervous about getting the right ones because they had two other kinds of junk pellets at the same time. If I were you, I would be a bit nervous too. Why such a long lead time on delivery, did you request that?
