Is anyone going to the DC contest final?

I'll shoot some short videos with my iPhone. If I'm lucky I'll actually get them to upload to my YouTube account (that's not a given) and get them posted up here at some point. I should be able to post some photos in real time from the Mall.

 

If you have probs uploading them to YouTube, you can always text or email them to me and I will put them up for you.

 

I think I'll be able to get it to work. Sometimes my daughter uses my iPhone to shoot and upload videos and after she used it one time i was not able to upload to my account. So if I have to, I can upload to her account and tell her, "Hey, deal with it, that's what happens when you mess up Dad's iPhone..."

 

Wheres everyone staying while theyre there? We have some friends that we could stay with but were thinking we might just get a room and make it a weekend getaway with woodstoves.

 

A lot of people are staying at Hotel Harrington at 436 11th Street NW.

We're only three hours away in PA so it's just a day trip for us.

 

Taking a break from splitting there Sav? Or maybe trying to figure out how to right that splitter?

 

After a lot of internet searching on every travel sight known to man we have decided to just stay with our friends in Alexandria. I just cant swing $300 for two nights in the city plus parking fees. Just in case yall dont know pretty much all hotels in the downtown area charge around $40 a night for parking Well just take the metro in Im looking forward to meeting yall next week.

 

How many of you guys are going to be there past the weekend? I work literally right up the street from the mall, so I may pop in monday morning before work to see everything.

 

Just going to be in the city on Saturday Im going to try to get in there on Friday but i dont see that happening.

 

Are you guys aware there is a moderate chance of a major nor'easter next week that could hit DC Tuesday night into Wednesday?

Maybe Im missing something there Brian but that report appears to be from 2009 which would put us in the clear. From what Im seeing the forecast for next weekend is high 50s perfect weather for hanging out next to a bunch of woodstoves.

Several of my patients this week said we're supposed to get a bad storm next week so I just did a search on weather for next week and found several forecasts. Here's one that does indicate the possibility of a snow storm next week:

I must have assumed all the links I ran across were current. But this shows the potential for an east coast snow storm Tuesday and Wednesday next week. By next weekend it will probably be melted if it does hit.

If you follow the link that started that thread yesterday they are now say there's really no chance if a snow event.
