Thanks Loon! I think she's around 7 now. Sweetest creature in the whole world, that dog. Not quite as rambunctious as your Pyr, judging from the pics, but she's an absolute angel.

And, uh, yeah Rotti. She's soft and fluffy, and smells like cat breath.

I posted this one elsewhere already, but might as well put the pets in the pets thread. Here's Waylon, laying pretty much ON the fire. He'll be there 'till spring.

It's been a very long time since I was in the vet clinic, but back in the day we xrayed dogs hips if the physical exam showed discomfort in the hips to see if it was dysplasia or arthritis. Mild dyplasia and arthitis were treated with enteric coated analgesics and both were later treated with a new drug (new at the time) rimadyle. Definately ask your vet to check her, they can do it by hand too, but I would guess that if she is not in severe pain it may be arthritis, or wear and tear from a fun fulfilling life. I have no doubt you will keep her comfortable regardless :)

Oh yeah, I've seen kitty sleeping right on top of her on cold mornings. They are best buddies. This is an old picture, they've been a team for a long time...

That is awesome.............................Those big white dogs are just like Rottweilers, in that both breeds speak volumes with their eyes and their facial expressions.

In my defense the PO of my place was head of the local Humane Society, so I inherited a lot of that. No excuse for not fixing it though. The three pets I've shown all plead Not Guilty to scratching up doors and stuff. This one here is the trouble maker. This is Roo. She's a handful, at least she shuts the door behind her after she scratches her way in.....

This is my old man in is favorite winter spot...

    IMG_6272a.JPG

Normally he is on the rug. As the fire winds down he moves closer. When he is completely on the tiles it is time to put a few splits on the fire.

Our crazy cat does the same thing Kapt??? Maybe just looking at its reflection? :coffee:

4 days on a course this week :hair: and just itching to get up to the deercamp today :rootintootin:

Had to have Murphy at the vets ALOT when he got sick Walker but the one time they said he had to spend the nite there. That lasted about 2 minutes as the vet phoned Mrs loon at work and said she had to come back out to get him as he bent the kennel he was in and was eating the wall to get outta the room.:D One time he some how locked himself in the bathroom here and that door had to be replaced.

He was a great buddy for sure but was known to demolish stuff when he was cooped up at all. :dancer:

LOL... poor Murph. Our last husky was the same Terry. We had to go somewhere and I tied her on a 6' line so she would stay on/around her bed, she slept on every night. Big mistake... she destroyed the chair that was 5.999999' away. At least she didn't destroy the walls or the floor... :picard: We discovered crating before we got Giz and she's known that her whole life. She'll walk right into it now and let me close the door... no sweat. Wish we'd used em with the huskies.

Emma was like Giz Stinny but Murphy never got the hang of them.:picard:

Had to try and reinforce the whole cage with tie wraps that are broken off on the floor.:D
