    Got a call Saturday night. My 41 yr. old daughter is in the hospital with an obstruction. She had a stomach bypass done two years ago and lost a ton of weight. The bowel developed a stricture at one of the bypass sites. So she is schedule to have surgery Monday afternoon. She is a surgical nurse so she has a full understanding of what is going on. She is right in the middle of changing her employment and is seperated from her husband. What next!

    Thanks for your very thoughtful responses. She has had a lot of stress, recent gall bladder and thyroid removal. Once this is over and we start a new year, I think life will be much happier for her.
    Than you again. I'll update after the surgery.

    They just carted her off to the surgical area. Her sister, also a RN, is with her. So now we wait. Thanks folks.

    Thanks folks. MD came to us and told us that he got in, then found the obstruction had passed. Said the stricture that was seen on CT scan was no longer there. Closed her and said that she can go home tomorrow. Can't wait for her to wake up and find out she is ok and should be able to start her new job next week.
