Wonder what that puppy gets for mileage? Maybe they measure it in gpm instead of mpg.

Says it on the grill ... 172 gals per mile. I think it's the tires.

My dad had an 05 expedition that he put 110k on in 3 years. Only thing he ever had fixed was the power seat. I had an 04 avalanche which is the same base and driveline the suburban has and it was a good truck. The guy that bought it off me still has it with 170k. I had a short Yukon and now have a navigator - the little bit of extra room is important if you're gonna use the third row. The Yukon had a removable third row that I never had in other than the day I bought it. With those seats up they were against the hatch the same way the Tahoe would be. The navigator which is the same as the expedition fold down giving you a flat storage/cargo area. They were all good trucks though. Also, the difference is size when driving and parking is minimal. They're all big and maneuver about the same when you're talking about an SUV or truck that size.

We live in the country. Parking g will be at places like doctors offices walmart and other stores. So not really a problem there. I have driven a 26ft moving truck in several cities so manuvering this will be easy.

That independent rear that gives more head room as well as flat folding rears really is nice vs the tahoe that folds up to the first row or have to take out totally!

Our 789s burn about 450 gallons in a shift, make 20 hauls of roughly 220 tons each. Round trip from the pit to primary crusher is roughly 15 miles.

With a cold start at -50f you have to drive it about ten miles before the transmission warns up enough to shift out of first....

1.5 gals per mile... to move over 400,000 lbs each trip... not bad.

I got re-directed to a main page(like a vote page) to like one of the posts above:loco:

Expedition's had coil issues - provided the issues are resolved in short order the engine will be fine - never know who traded a vehicle and why

I've had good luck with fords. In laws not so much. It's all about the maintenance I think. I had an explorer with over 200,000 on it and never any major problems. Motor was still good just a lot of little issues when I got rid of it. Did not want it to be someone else's problem so I scrapped it. It had been wrecked twice as well.

But those were just coils. I know they can be pricey but those are coil on plugs simple fix right?
