I'm going to put the sides off my C70 on it. The C70 hauls 6 cord .... Just gas engine and juice brakes... Never been too happy with how it goes and stops. Just waiting for title so I can buy it. Dave, stacked. 14 rows about 6ft tall, 7.75ft wide.
We load it easily in a day. I have a guy working for me that does the stacking. I was doing it myself but it really slows down everything having to stop to stack. About shut down my current truck for good just a bit ago. Came way too close into making a moose hamburger right around 58 mile in Sutton. Couple miles further someone else had hit one too.
Have one at the shop, 10 wheeler with self loader, and a regular 18 wheeler log truck with self loader. I've never run them, it's a steep learning curve to load/unload logs without banging into everything (or yourself). The short truck probably not as bad, 20fts vs 40+ft logs. 6 cords is around 25,000lbs. Have a conveyor on the end of the processor. Still have to stack it in the truck though.
It's all 100" logs here for the most part. I ran a truck a couple summers and it took some figuring out but I got it done.
Yes mostly pulp or chip board some biomass. Over towards the lake where it is warmer there is some verneer. The state of Minnesota has done a pretty good job of running the forest products industry into the ground...
