Got up Thursday morning and went to work. Lasted about 2 hours and then had to come home. I had gotten the "Flu" shot 2 days before and lo and behold now I've got a dandy "Cold" like virus of some sort. Been flat since Thursday and am just starting to feel human again. Trying to get this beat as I am supposed to have the surgery on my right eye on wednesday . Its 46 and supposed to rain here later today, only redeeming factor to all of this is the Mich/Mich State and Penn State/Ohio State games on later today. Wanted to get the rest of the oak I had bucked up split before the surgery. Can see that isn't gonna happen now. Oh well.............
Have had mine for 3 weeks rotti, wife got it 2 weeks ago. Hope yours doesnt last this long!! Good luck with the eye eh.
Same scenario here too Loon. Wife came down with it last weekend and thought I should be able to enjoy some too. We ve both been layin low and so far I think I might beat it in time. Was supposed to go help my buddy put trusses, sheeting and tin on his new garage today, but decided that would probably be a bad idea. We just got blasted with 2-3 hours of heavy rain which looks like it is headed your way on the radar. Stay dry and warm.
Elm in the stove and she is laying low also. Over on the farm having a few with my buddies son doing a brake job and we are sure getting the storm now. Got your stove brewing i bet?
Yup, stove is running, clear as a bell here now although everything is soaked as can be. Watching the Michigan/Michigan State game.
Cleared here also. So went down to another farm and had some fun sighting in. Pretty sure i'll be up your way to the deer camp Thursday nite.
Thanks HD, laid really low from Thursday to yesterday. Feel about 95% better. Back to work today and tomorrow before the surgery on Wednesday. Should be all good. Had a chuckle yesterday talking to my buddy in Pa. We first chatted on Saturday about losing his dog and then again yesterday about the new pup he picked up. He was sounding really bad. Said I gave it to him thru the phone lines. Told him no problem, was happy to do it................... That's what buddys are for.
Well, went back to work today feeling about 95% gooder. All geared up for my eye surgery on Wednesday and then I get a call this afternoon from the doctors office saying that he had a death in the family and surgery is cancelled until further notice. Oh well........it is what it is. On top of that, one of the women @ work was there this morning when they came to get her to advise her that her husband was killed on his way to work. He was a electrician on the local military base. Seems a tractor trailer load of logs, coming in the other direction lost it @ a bridge construction swing over on the Trans Canada Hwy. The trailer went over and he was crushed in his vehicle. Very sad situation as they are well known in this area. Make the best of the time your here, you never know when your number is up.
Yikes that is definitely tragic....... Glad you are feeling better and now you can get that wood split lol
Well, that's on the back burner too. Will be helping my buddy (lad who built the $62.00 wood shed not long ago) get the trusses, sheeting and steel on the roof of his new 20 x 40 garage this weekend. We are trying to get it closed in before the weather socks us.
