My himalayan cat is having kittens. I can see 4 of them. Two are vigorous, one slow, and one appears stillborn.
I'll update later with some pics and final count. This litter was intentional. I own both parents.

We have three living. I removed the still born one. The mother cat is watching out for them.
image.jpg . The top cat is the papa cat. In daylight he is buff with blue/gray points

It's pretty cool isn't it? I have seen a lot of animals being born.
Not fun to see a still born but it happens

I don't know what happend. She didn't take the membrane off from it. When I found it, the kitten was cold. It looked just like the others. But look at the bright side for the other three. I am hoping they survive.

Very nice. I trust they passed inspection! Looks like they will disappear if you are not careful.
I like the idea that you are giving food that is healthy and not full of chemicals.
We had a old hound who lived to be 17 and died in an accident. She ate table food and was very fat. Had I only fed her dog food I don't think she would have made it that far. We used to buy food that was full of grains like corn etc. didn't know any better.

Sorry to hear about the "old hound". I give my dogs a lot of freedom, I believe in "letting the dog be a dog"...can get them into trouble sometimes, I just try to be as careful as I can. Oakley, one of the new pups, has been nicknamed "danger boy"...trouble seems to follow him around.

What people feed their pets can be a touchy subject...I don't feed them anything I wouldn't eat.

Got a call from my good friend in Pennsylvania tonight to say that they had to put down his hunting lab yesterday due to Lyme. Dog had always had the shots too. Vet told him that in all of his years in practice this was the third dog he has seen who succumbed to Lyme after being innoculated.

For sure Loon. Dog was like one of his kids. He has a semi-wild pheasant preserve, now has a pen full of birds and no dog. Says he is on his way up to new york state tomorrow to pick up a 8 week old lab from the breeder he has always dealt with. R.I.P. Ruby............

I am so sorry to hear about his dog. One of my labs was Lyme positive (just like me). It didn't bother her that I know of. That is the dog that passed at age three from bloat.
I'm impressed to see your friend isn't waiting to get another lab. I got another one a week after the passing of my girl.
I have another lab. He is seven. AKC champion hunting bloodline. He keeps a good eye on the couch! I don't hunt. These dogs are my friends and help me with issues related to ptsd.
