My stove has a 6" output, that I run up to a 8" adapter into the ceiling support box with 8" tipple wall. I dont have draft issues, but I also have only ever been able to close down the primary air 80% or so, any further and she dies, no matter the temp outside. Anyone think that this would be advantageous? It wouldn't take too much work/cost to do this and drop a 6" liner inside the 8" I am just looking to tweak things because I cant leave well enough alone..
When I first got my Oslo it was connected to 25' of uninsulated 8" ss liner. Perfomance was ok to good. The next year I dropped a 6" liner inside the 8". Performance was better. The difference wasn't earth shattering but it was noticeable. Good luck.
12' of 6" installed inside the 8" class A triple wall. Beautiful day to be up on the roof here in SE Michigan. Finishing up the back lawn and the going to go for a good long run with the pup. We will see how it works tonight
