Believe it or not, it was a half ton of Greene Team 3 seasons ago. Dont know what was up but those things burned dirty as hell and left the walls with a coating that was a beatch to clean off. I wasn't the only one in this area to say the same thing. Must have been a bad batch.

My brother-in-law used to swear by Greene Teams. When I first got my stove we traded some of my Lg's for some his GT's. They turned everything black over night. He liked the Lg's, but he's one of those guys that is stuck in the " hardwood burns longer and better than softwood" mindset.

My first year burning, I had 4 ton of Greene Team without this issue. It was the following year when I picked up a half ton for the fall shoulder season. I recommended GT to someone else that year prior to burning and they had the same issue. We bought them at 2 different Lowes locations, so it had to be a regional issue.

Inferno's had plenty of heat but that mushroom cloud was a nuisance...

I was again looking at a larger pellet stove, looked at a Max. Dealer seemed to know what he was talking about. Then I spotted a bag of pellets. They were Infernos. He told me they were the ones he was selling and were a very good pellet. He said he had no complaints from his customers. So now I wonder about anything he was telling me.

2 tons of Corinth I had a few years ago. They were so bad I returned them to the dealer for full credit. Absolute potting soil! New Englands weren't that great either.

Some where on this computer there is a clinker picture. I managed to get many that size out of my burn pot until the maker developed a clue and cleaned things up. Now I can keep all of my expensive pellets for a really cold snap.

The maker was Maine Woods Pellets, they definitely got their act together. Night and day difference from their first year in the business. I haven't tried thier softwoods but have only heard good things about them.

    Found it.

Definitely not worth that price. They are marginally better than the blend, which I burn a lot of. $230? Maybe.
